Whether you work with our liquid or dry production facility – or both – you’ll notice a total-teamwork, anything-for-the-customer atmosphere that puts us ahead of the competition by allowing us to be incredibly flexible.
The liquid operation can provide efficient mixing for low, medium and high viscosity seasonings, with or without particulate matter, and kettle cooking. We have the ability to produce a wide variety of cooked and uncooked seasonings and flavors packaged in everything from 6-ounce pouches to 5-gallon bottles to 275-gallon totes.
Our dry operation is equipped with modern processing and packaging equipment capable of blending, sifting, separating, filling, custom pack form filling, sealing and labeling. Our 120,000 square foot dry operations facility is able to deliver the most sophisticated seasonings in everything from custom 1/2-ounce pouches to 300-pound drums to 2,000-pound super sacks.
All logistics are handled at our 150,000 square foot facility in Carrollton, Texas, where 27 dock door positions and 3,800 warehouse bin locations (including a controlled environment area for temperature sensitive items) accommodate all order processing requirements. We also manage – and continually customize – our own Customer Relationship Management software in order to, among other things, give ourselves a robust and highly customized vendor management system that ties together Purchasing, Sales, Finance and R&D.
The Illes Logistics department maintains a 98% on-time shipping/receiving rate monthly and we take great pride in being “audit ready” at all times. This is reflected by the consistent Excellent to Superior scores on all external audits, as well as daily internal audits.
The mission of our Quality Assurance department is to make sure all aspects of our comprehensive Food Safety Program are monitored and adhered to. This includes manufactured products, raw materials, our vendors and every other aspect of our business. We get it all done with a combination of in-house laboratory evaluations and inspections, outside technical services, vendor certification and audits from customers and third parties. Illes is registered and compliant with all FDA requirements for the food industry and we consistently – and proudly – score Excellent to Superior on all external audits.
