Warehouse Specialist

Position Summary:
The Warehouse Specialist will be responsible for all movement and activities associated with raw materials and finished goods per safety, GMP, and BRC standards.  Must be familiar with all computer procedures related to shipping and receiving.  Keep warehouse, common areas and outside areas cleaned and maintained.  Willingly participate in all work-related programs and contribute to continuous improvement programs and perform any duties assigned by management.  Ensure that food safety, legality, and quality standards are maintained at all times.

Job Functions:
1. The accurate receipt of all raw materials
2. Drive company vehicle
3. The accurate shipment of all finished goods
4. Basic knowledge of Ross ERP System
5. Maintain good work habits and GMP practices
6. Ability to maintain forklift certification
7. Must have good math and organizational skills
8. Follow all Company safety policies and procedures
9. Must be flexible to cross-train in other departments within the company
10. Finished product verification of all items in transit to warehouse facility
11. Batch verification of all items in transit to and from all production facilities
12. Bulk staging and or breakout staging of material for jobs in production.

Job Requirements:

EDUCATION: High School or equivalent preferred.
 
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2 years warehouse experience required.  Food industry experience preferred.
 
SKILLS & ABILITIES: Certified forklift driver; read, speak, and write fluent English; work in harmony with all team members; follow all safety, GMP and AIB procedures and policies; be flexible and able to handle pressure and change; good math skills; good written, communication, problem solving, and planning skills; use all required protective equipment; adhere to scheduled work times and have good attendance; computer skills in Ross ERP System, Microsoft Word and Excel; ability and understanding of Packaging label software; work closely with all departments; have ability to work in a fast paced and every-changing environment; interact with multiple departments in an on-going “Team Building” environment.
 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift 50# bags continuously.  Ability to handle 55-gallon drums after training.  Ability to lift 100# with assistance. Stand continuously.  Ability to bend, stoop, climb, reach above shoulder, crouch, and push and pull frequently.  Use feet, hands, wrists, arms, and shoulders constantly.  Work while standing on a 10-step ladder with rails. 

Temperature variation of 55 to 90 degrees.
