After graduating from Rice University, A.E.'s sons, George and Robert, joined the family business in the 1930's. A.E. ILLES Company flourished through the 30's, 40's, and 50's, partnering with creameries, bakeries, ice cream manufacturers, and soft drink manufacturers world-wide. The company outgrew their downtown Dallas location and moved into a larger production facility in Dallas.
ILLES' third generation, George's son, George "Rick" Jr., took over the company in the 1980's. Under Rick's leadership, the company realized exponential growth and expanded it's product offerings. The expanded product lines lead to the company's new name, ILLES Seasonings and Flavors. By 2001, ILLES's growth lead to the closing of their Dallas location and the opening of an additional production facility in Carrollton, TX.
